Army to lead clean-up of six mountains

With the aim of promoting mountain economy and maintaining ecological balance, the government of Nepal and Nepal Army (NA) headquarters have jointly launched a month-long ‘Clean Mountain’ national campaign. Under the campaign, the NA will take a leading role in cleaning a total of six mountains: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Pumori and Ama Dablam.

Amendment to Military Regulations pleases lower rank soldiers

The third amendment to the Military Service Regulation-2012 has come as a big relief to the lower-rank soldiers and the army headquarters itself. The new regulations, amended on January 3, 2021, allow army personnel from followers to soldiers to become eligible for pension after serving 16 years, down from 20 years earlier. NA to increase women soldiers in UN missions

8,906 Nepali migrant workers die in 13 years in 21 countries
