COVID-19 testing station to be established in Bhairahawa   

The government is all set to establish a state-level laboratory to carry out test for COVID-19 infection. The National Public Health Laboratory has assigned required number of experts for the establishment of labs in all seven states.   

Over thousand tourists, guides rescued during weeklong lockdown against COVID-19   

A total of 1,330 foreign tourists and Nepali tourist guides left stranded at several destinations due to a weeklong nationwide lockdown against the coronavirus have been rescued.  

Gokarneshwor Municipality starts spraying disinfectant   

In a bid to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gokarneshwor Municipality has started spraying chlorine at the places in the municipality's all wards where there is much movement of people.  

Coronavirus test to be available at Hetauda also   

Tests for coronavirus will be available in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati State, from today.     Bagmati State Government's Minister for Social Development, Yubaraj Dulal, said the laboratory at the Vector-Borne Diseases Research and Training Centre (VBDRTC) at Hetauda would be upgraded and used for testing for COVID-19.    

FPCR-N calls for smooth supply of essential goods   

The Forum for Protection of Consumer Rights- Nepal (FPCR-N) has urged the government to make arrangements for the smooth and easy supply and distribution of daily essentials to the consumers during the situation of lockdown.

Doti CDO pledges no lack of essential supplies during crisis   

Doti Chief District Officer Teknarayan Poudel has pledged no shortage of essential supplies in the district during the lockdown against the coronavirus. Talking to the National News Agency (RSS) today, the CDO said the district had a stock of foodstuffs and other daily essentials sufficient for the next three months.

The Kageshwori Manohara municipality in Kathmandu has kept close watch on those in the town who were recently returned home from abroad in the wake of a weeklong lockdown against the coronavirus that entered the sixth day today.    

Five come by Qatar Airways test negative to COVID-19   

Five persons from the district who had come to Nepal via Qatar Airways have been tested negative to COVID-19. They had shared the plane with the lady who tested positive to the coronvirus.
