Long Spell Of Drought Affects Winter Crops In Parbat

Farmers in the district have been worried as winter crops have been affected due to a long spell of a drought in the district. There is no rainfall for four months, thus adding to their woes, shared farmers.

Flood, landslide survivors continue to spend nights under open sky in Kalikot   

As many as 206 households at ward no 4, 5 and 7 of Naraharinath Rural Municipality in Kalikot district who were displaced by a massive flood on June 27 last year have been living under open sky braving the biting cold.    

NCP plans to hold massive assembly at Narayanhiti road on February 5   

The Bagmati Province committee of the ruling NCP has planned to hold massive assembly at Narayanhiti road on February 5 in the wake of the announcement of election after the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR). The committee informed that the road at southern gate of Narayanhiti Museum was chosen to avoid traffic congestion.

Two killed in road accident  

Two people have died in a road accident that took place on the Pahalmanpur road section of Kailali on the East-West highway last night. The accident took place when a tractor (Ma1Ta 542) collided with a motorcycle (Ba.1Pa.404) coming from the opposite direction.

Ward 15 wins first ward-level futsal tournament  

Ward no. 15 has won the first Chandragiri municipality ward level futsal tournament 2077. In the final match of the tournament, ward no. 15 defeated ward no. 14 by 3-1 on Saturday.     Along with the win, ward no. 15 won the winner's trophy including Rs. 75,000 in cash. Likewise ward no. 14 won Rs. 40,000 and the runners-up trophy.
