High Court Patan bench, Hetauda Judge Shesh Raj Shiwakoti presented the prize at a function held in Hetauda on Saturday. Born in Dhading, Lamsal has been based in Kathmandu and contributing to the media as well as literature sector since a long time. 

Man arrested with illegally held weapons  

A man has been arrested in possession of arms and ammunition held illegally from Raptisonari rural municipality of Banke district. Rishiram Tharu,68, was arrested from Jabarpur in ward no. 5 of the rural municipality on Saturday. 

NPC wins Kathmandu Mayor Cup Cricket title 

Nepal Police Club (NPC) has won the title of Kathmandu Mayor Cup one-day cricket tournament.  In a final match played at Kirtipur-based Cricket Stadium today, NPC defeated APF club of the Armed Police Force by eight wickets. With the title, NPC has bagged an award of Rs 500,000.    

Construction of milk powder production plant begins 

Construction of a powder milk production plant and its building has been started in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati province.  The structure is being constructed at Nyureni of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-10, with the grant of Rs 412 million 271 thousand provided by the province government.

Deferral of party's general convention unfortunate-NC senior leader Poudel   

Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ramchandra Poudel said it was unfortunate to defer the general convention of the party in one or another pretext.  At a press meet organized here today by the Nepal Press Union Baglung chapter, he commented that Nepal's democratic system has been weakened due to no timely general convention of the NC. 

Twenty metric tonnes waste managed from Pashupati area

The waste that had accumulated at the Pashupati area in course of the Mahashivaratri festival has been managed.     In this connection, 20 metric tonnes waste was managed from the Hansamandap site under the 409th week of Bagmati River cleaning mega campaign.
