Safe Citizens Shelter Programme hit by budget shortage

The Safe Citizens Shelter Programme initiated since the Fiscal Year 2018/19 is facing a shortage of budget for implementation. One hundred fifty-seven thousand houses were selected under this scheme for replacing their thatched roofs with that of corrugated zinc sheets. NC sorts out active membership issues in more five districts

The Nepali Congress (NC) has sorted out the issues of party active membership in five more districts in view of the party's 14th General Convention. The party has unveiled the final name list of active members in Mahottari, Siraha, Banke, Surkhet and Dolpa districts.

Six persons killed due to drowning in Saptari in five days  

Six persons have been killed due to drowning in ponds in the district in a period of five days. With this, a total of 15 people have been killed after they drowned in the district so far in the current fiscal year, 2021/22 that started July 16 this year.
