India reconstructs 50,000 houses in Gorkha and Nuwakot   

Embassy of India, in association with National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), organized a workshop in Kathmandu today to mark the successful completion of Government of India- funded reconstruction of 50,000 houses in Gorkha and Nuwakot.

Obstructed Palpa-Butwal road opens   

The Palpa-Butwal road under the Siddhartha Highway that was blocked by a dry landslide has opened after seven hours. The road has opened for one-way traffics after clearing debris, said Bishnu Kunwar, chief of the Dovan police beat. A dry landslide obstructed the road at a temple near Dovan Headbox in Palpa district today morning.    

CJ Rana assigns hearing on cases today  

Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has assigned hearing on all types of cases including the habeas corpus ones today. Out of hearing assigned to 10 benches (eight division benches and two single benches), he will handle one under full single bench. However, hearing has not started.    

Energy Minister lays foundation for construction of Balkumari Temple 

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhusal has laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Balkumari temple at Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Ward No 8 today.     On the occasion Minister Bhusal gave assurances that the reconstruction of the temple would be carried out with support of all the three tiers of the government.

Jeep carrying revelers meets with accident; three die, 14 injured

Shankhadhar Park constructed at Rs 60 million   

An attractive park has been constructed at Shankhadhar Chowk in Madhyapur Thimi. The Park was built at the investment of Rs 20 million of Kathmandu Metropolis and Rs 40 million of Madhyapur Thimi municipality under the Town-Town Collaboration Programme.
